Ewald Summation: Suggested Exercises

  1. Conduct a Monte-Carlo simulation of a liquid salt by incorporating $\mathscr{U}_{\rm Coul}$ as calculated using Ewald summation into the code mclj.c, and compute the ++, +-, and - radial distribution functions for various temperatures and densities.
  2. Add forces to the Ewald summation code, and perform a molecular dynamics simulation study of a liquid salt.
