Peter Deak, PhD- PI\u00a0 People \u2013 Deak Research Group at Drexel<\/a><\/p>\n

Zachary Weiser- Joined the Deak lab in Winter 2025 and is currently working on developing tolerizing drug releasing microparticles for use with dendritic cell therapies.\u00a0 Zach obtained his BS from Lehigh University in 2025 and previously worked on anti-inflammatory biomaterials.<\/p>\n

Hannah (Sihan) Jia- Hannah gained my master’s degree in biotechnology in NYU Tandon where I worked as a RA for a year after graduation and joined the Deak Lab in January 2023. Her research is focused on using tolerogenic drug combination to generate potent tolerogenic dendritic cells and analyze the downstream effects on DC phenotypes.\u00a0 These have applications in autoimmune dieases and transplantation.<\/p>\n

Ted Kang- Ted joined the Deak group in January 2024 after obtaining his bachlor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from NYU.\u00a0 His research is focused on developing targeted liposomes that capture HIV.\u00a0 These particles, called Nanotrap vaccines, are being developed as an HIV therapeutic vaccine.<\/p>\n
