Dr. Matthew Stamm selected to organize the 2018 IEEE Signal Processing Cup Competition

Dr. Matthew C. Stamm has been selected to organize the 2018 IEEE Signal Processing Cup Competition.

The Signal Processing Cup is an international competition annually held by the IEEE Signal Processing Society. It is designed to challenge teams of undergraduate students from around the world to tackle real problems in signal processing. The top three teams selected from the open competition portion of the Signal Processing Cup will compete in a final competition culminating at the 2018 International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing (ICASSP), the world’s largest signal processing conference.

This year, Dr. Stamm and his team are organizing a forensic camera model identification challenge in which teams will design an algorithm to determine which type of camera was used to captured an image.
