Ayanna E. Gardner

After graduating with her associate degree in Engineering Technology from Delaware County Community College in 2018, Ayanna transferred to Drexel University to continue her undergraduate career. Her interest in the hands-on applications of the Engineering Technology field was sparked during her time as an organizational-level helicopter mechanic for the United States Marine Corps.


Toshika Fegade

After graduating with her bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Mumbai University in 2016, Toshika started working in the field of Geographic information systems and also developed machine learning algorithms for medical applications. She joined Drexel University for her master’s in the field of Electrical Engineering and to pursue a minor in Computer Science.  Her interests are Robotics Control Systems, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and their application in various fields such as Healthcare, Education, etc. Currently, she is working as a Graduate Research Assistant at Drexel university’s Mechatronics lab. 


Sowrirajan Sowmithran

After graduating with his bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University in 2015 and working at Cognizant Technology Solutions for a period of 2 years, Sowrirajan joined Drexel University’s Mechatronics Laboratory in 2018 as a Graduate Research Assistant, pursuing his Masters in the field of Electrical Engineering. Being a Computer Vision and Controls Engineering enthusiast, his project interests are focused on building vision applications like object tracking modules, 3D model reconstructions, facial and Iris recognition systems, machine vision applications for industrial automation, and Virtual reality applications. He is currently the President of the Drexel IEEE Graduate Forum (DIG) keeping the IEEE graduate chapter active at Drexel along with his DIG team. He was named to receive the prestigious Outstanding Master Student – College of Engineering Drexel award for the academic year of 2018-19 by the Dean of College of Engineering.
