Travel Behavior
Developing behavioral models and agent-based simulations to predict travel demand and understand how people respond to—and are affected by—transportation technologies.
CAM Lab develops behavioral models, decision tools, and vehicle technologies to advance connected and automated transportation, public transit, and shared mobility that better serve communities through interdisciplinary research and education.
We draw on theories and methods from behavioral modeling, optimization, control, artificial intelligence, and experimental validation to develop mobility solutions that are behaviorally realistic, operationally effective, and physically executable. Applications include connected and automated transportation, public transit, and shared mobility.
Developing behavioral models and agent-based simulations to predict travel demand and understand how people respond to—and are affected by—transportation technologies.
Developing analytical and computational methods that connect demand prediction with multimodal transportation planning, design, and operations.
Developing vehicle prediction, planning, and control methods, and validating them through simulation, robotic vehicles, and full-scale automated vehicle experiments.
We train the next generation of engineers to address complex challenges in transportation systems through coursework, interdisciplinary research, and professional engagement.
Independently developed and regularly teach a three-course transportation sequence at Drexel: Transportation Engineering, Transportation System Planning, and Traffic Signal Systems.
Bringing undergraduate and graduate students, research staff, and faculty together to tackle transportation research and design challenges. Undergraduates earn academic credit while contributing to faculty-led research and development.
Founded and serve as faculty advisor to Drexel’s Institute of Transportation Engineers student chapter, supporting student-led technical events, professional networking, and career development.
