
Dr. Fernanda Cruz Rios is an Assistant Professor at Drexel University. She is a built environment scientist who is fascinated by complex systems, convergence research, and sustainability. Her background in Architecture, Urban Planning, and Civil, Environmental, and Sustainable Engineering gives her a unique perspective of the complex challenges of buildings and cities. Her main research interests are circular economy, sustainable buildings and cities, design for circularity and resilience, and diversity and inclusion.

Cagla Keles is a PhD candidate in the Architectural Engineering program at Drexel University. She’s completing her PhD project at the CIRCLE lab. Cagla’s interests include sustainability, climate resilience, data science, machine learning, building energy optimization, life cycle assessment, and circular building design.

Mohsen Bahmanyar is a PhD student in the Architectural Engineering program at Drexel, conducting research at the CIRCLE Lab. He explores circular futures through parametric, data-driven design, integrating sustainability, climate-responsive strategies, and digital technologies to advance resilient, regenerative architecture.

Enzo Fetter-Garcia is a Mechanical Engineering student and a Drexel Global Scholar. He is an undergraduate research assistant at the CIRCLE lab. He also volunteers at Engineering Without Borders, where he aims to bring sustainable solutions to the Philadelphia community. Enzo is interested in sustainability, smart cities, and digital solutions.

Audrey Ling is a first-year Architecture student at Drexel University. She is conducting research as an undergraduate research assistant at the CIRCLE lab. Audrey is interested in sustainability, urban design, and vernacular architecture.

Kevin Nally is a fourth-year Architectural Engineering student at Drexel University, concentrating in structural systems with a minor in Art History. He is an undergraduate research assistant at the CIRCLE lab. His interests lie at the intersection of structural design and environmental responsibility, aiming to create resilient, sustainable buildings.

Madison Klak is an honors student at Drexel University pursing an accelerated BS/MS degree in Environmental Engineering with a minor in Law, and graduate concentrations in Air Pollution and Human Risks. She is an undergraduate research assistant at the CIRCLE lab and is interested in how policies and regulations affect sustainable infrastructure and its associated risks to human health.

Mia Craig is an honors student at Drexel University double-majoring in Mathematical Statistics and Behavioral Economics, with minors in Data Science and Actuarial Science. She is an undergraduate research assistant at the CIRCLE lab. Mia is interested in econometrics, machine learning/AI, optimization and risk modeling, behavioral change, and sustainability.

Joseph Di Stefano is an undergraduate Computer Engineering student at Drexel University and a research assistant at the CIRCLE lab. His interests include computer hardware design, machine learning, and emerging technologies, with the goal of creating impactful engineering solutions.
