Yay, more funding coming our way!
One day, Jin Wen organized an event for junior faculty from the college of engineering and college of computing (now merged). The goal was for faculty to briefly present their research and find opportunities for collaboration. That’s when I met Feng Liu and thought “wait, what if…”.
We talked and realized his work may carry a solution to a problem I had in my own research, and a collaboration was born. My amazing PhD student Cagla Keles has been working with Feng’s students ever since, and we recently submitted an application for some seed funding. Today, at the same time the Fellowship results were announced (we got it!), we also got our first promising results from our data analysis.
I’m excited to keep exploring this project and its potential for the field of urban material stocks and flows! Thanks Feng Liu , Cagla Keles , Channacy Un , and Yixuan Shen for your work on this project. And thank you Jin Wen for giving us an opportunity to meet!
