It’s a wrap for hashtag#ISSST2026! Had a great time meeting like-minded, passionate people working in sustainability and systems thinking across so many different fields.
Here’s the tally:
✅ 9 hours on the Amtrak (plus 9 more to come);
✅ 3 days of conference packed with inspiring work in urban sustainability, infrastructure resilience, climate justice, life cycle assessment and more;
✅ 4 presentations from our group, including Mohsen Bahmanyar ’s first conference presentation (!);
✅ 1 field trip to the RIT Golisano Institute for Sustainability Academic Programs;
✅ Countless conversations that renewed my spark for this work and made me glad to be a part of this community!
Feeling tired but happy to have made so many connections. And very excited to help organize next year’s event!
