His web pages: Google Scholars, Research Gate, Linkedin

Received his Ph.D in (2015) in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University, and completed a two-year postdoc program at Northwestern University’s Center for Quantum Devices, conducting research on type-II superlattice infrared imagers. He was a visiting scientist at Brookhaven National Lab, working on properties of core-shell nanowires. He is currently conducting research on opto-plasmonic devices based on low-dimensional electron systems. His research interests are in 2D and 1D materials, correlated electronic systems, Silicon and III-V photonics and optoelectronics. In his free time, he trains for tri-athlon and marathon races.

Graduate Students

Kiana Montazeri

Received her B.Sc (2014) in
Electrical Engineering from
Sharif University of Technology, Iran.
She started her Ph.D in Spring 2016. Her Research activities focus on plasmonically enhanced devices such as nanowire cavities and high speed transistors. Specifically, she studies the effect of plasma waves in reduced dimensional electron gas on the quality of optical cavities and HEMT devices.

Anushka bhardwaj

Received her M.S in (2017) in Electrical Engineering
from Drexel University.

Zhihuan Wang

Received his B.Eng (2009) in Communication Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China, and M.Sc (2010) in
Electronics from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
He started his Ph.D. in Fall 2011. He focused on characterizing extremely enhanced optoelectronic properties of core-shell nanowires, analyzing the fundamental mechanism of such significant enhancement in light absorption, emission, and lasing behavior. Specifically optoelectronic characteristics and light-matter interactions of these novel nano-scale lasers and photodetectors are in his interest.
