Dr. Yong-Jie Hu has been named the Hoeganaes Endowed Assistant Professor. This prestigious chairship provides financial support to advance Dr. Hu’s educational and research initiatives in metals.

MCIG received a research grant from NSF to study solute cluster strengthening mechanisms in lightweight alloys. It is a teamwork in collaboration with Prof. Kelvin Xie’s group at Taxes A&M University.

MCIG received a grant from NSF (DMR – 2334275) to apply deep learning approaches for guiding the synthesis of advanced inorganic materials. The team will work with groups led by Prof. Kaidi Xu and Prof. Jill Wenderott from Drexel University.
