Patrick Gurian is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering. His research seeks to improve environmental policies through the development of better decision-making tools. These tools include statistical analyses, simulation models, mechanistic models of contaminant fate and transport, benefit-cost analyses, decision analytic models, and an understanding of human risk perception.
