Our research is dedicated to translating scientific findings into actions to promote water sustainability and environmental conservation. We aim to address pressing environmental challenges and study the impacts of climate change on water quantity and quality towards the development of adaptation strategies.

Our research evaluating the effectiveness of decentralized, household-scale circular water strategies (rainwater harvesting, greywater reuse, and water-efficient fixtures) to reduce combined sewer overflows and flooding in urban areas just got published in Urban Climate!

Dr. Carneiro Marques was awarded a grant to conduct research on “Investigating Major Drivers of Water Quality Trends and Changes in the City of Philadelphia Drinking Water Supply” from the PA Water Resources Center and the United States Geological Survey (USGS)
