Our new paper (A Microvascular‐Based Multifunctional and Reconfigurable Metamaterial) made covered in the Advanced Materials Technologies journal!
In this article, Dr. Najafi and his Ph.D. student Reza Pejman collaborated with their colleagues from NCSU, Ohio State University, University of Houston, and Santa Clara University. This article demonstrates a microvascular-based multifunctional and reconfigurable metamaterial where various physical properties (i.e., electromagnetic signature and thermal profile) are dynamically modulated within a structural fiber-reinforced composite via fluid exchange (i.e., liquid metal and water) within a bioinspired vasculature.
