Dr. Najafi Attends 2024 NSF S-STEM Scholars & PI Meeting in Chicago, Il

Drexel University’s NSF-awarded S-STEM scholarship program, titled Awards to Increase Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Diversity (AIME), participated in the 2024 S-STEM Scholars & PI Meeting held from November 8-10 in Chicago, IL. Co-principal investigators, Dr. Ahmad Najafi and Dr. Jennifer S. Atchison, along with Drexel scholars, were thrilled to receive travel awards to attend this event.

This meeting offered our scholars an opportunity to build a community within the S-STEM network, connect with potential employers and graduate programs, engage in professional and career development activities, and present their work across a wide array of STEM disciplines.

The Drexel S-STEM AIME scholarship is an NSF-awarded initiative, and the principal investigator team consists of Professor Gail Rosen, Professor Jennifer S. Atchison, and Dr. Ahmad Najafi. Professor Craig Bach, Ph.D. serves as the project’s external evaluator, and Munazzah Al Hashim, a senior BS MEM student, assists us with program activities.
