Congratulations to Amir Sadighi on his recent PhD defense and graduation! Amir’s dissertation, “Numerical Design and Analysis of Swelling Bone Anchors: Hygro-mechanics, Bone Remodeling, and Ingrowth,” resulted in six papers in top biomechanics journals. He was co-advised by Dr. Ahmad Najafi and Dr. Sorin Siegler. His research on swelling co-polymeric anchors and implants has resulted in six papers. Amir has also authored and co-authored eight papers focused on the fracture mechanics of bone and cementitious composites. Amir’s new position will be as a Senior CAD/CAE Engineer at Stryker.
