Terrence McGuckin defended his PhD thesis “Exploring the Electronic Landscape at Interfaces and Junctions in Semiconductor Nanowire Devices with Subsurface Local Probing” in July 2015. Dr McGuckin is founder of Ephemron Labs, a leader in innovative electron beam induced current imaging technology.

Christopher Hawley defended his PhD thesis “Growth of Nanowires and Nanowire Heterostructures by Chemical Vapor Deposition and Vapor Transport” in August 2015. Dr Hawley began a new appointment as a postdoctoral researcher in the group, focusing on laser spectroscopy of perovskites.
Andrew Akbashev defended his PhD thesis “Synthesis and Properties of Ferroelectric Perovskite Oxide Thin Films” in December 2015. Dr Akbashev has just started a postdoctoral position at Stanford in the lab of Professor William Chueh.
