Dr. Hao Cheng received his Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from Northwestern University in 2005 under the supervision of Prof. Monica Olvera de la Cruz. He was a postdoctoral associate in the laboratory of Prof. Robert Langer and Daniel Anderson at MIT during 2007-2012. Prior to joining MIT, he was a postdoctoral associate in the laboratory of  Prof. Hamid Band at Northwestern University during 2006-2007. He holds B.E. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University in China. He joined the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at Drexel University as Assistant Professor in September 2012. He is also an affiliated faculty member in the School of Biomedical Engineering, Science, and Health Systems. He is a recipient of the inaugural Nano Research Young Innovators Award in Nanobiotechnology in 2018 and an Editorial board member of the journal, Bioactive Materials.
