April 26, 2018 – Zhiyuan and Peter’s article titled “Cell membrane coating for reducing nanoparticle-induced inflammatory responses to scaffold constructs” has been accepted for publication in Nano Research.

February 2, 2018 – Peter receives the College of Engineering Outstanding PhD Student Award, which is given to one student in the college this year. Congratulations on this prestigious award! 

February 1, 2018 –  Dr. Cheng receives a Commonwealth Universal Research Enhancement (CURE) formula grant to develop a therapeutics delivery scaffold for generating tolerogenic dendritic cells.

December 21, 2017– Peter and Zhiyuan’s review article titled “Cell membrane bioconjugation and membrane-derived nanomaterials for immunotherapy” has been accepted for publication in Bioconjugate Chemistry.

June 12, 2017 –  Dr. Cheng and collaborator receive a R21 grant from NIH to develop biomaterials for inducing immune tolerance. We thank NIH for supporting our research.

May 23, 2017 – Diana has successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis! Congratulations! She is the first Ph.D. student graduated from our lab. We appreciate her contribution to the lab and wish her a very successful career in the future.

April 18~20, 2017 –  Dr. Cheng co-organized “Materials in Immunology” symposium in 2017 MRS Spring Meeting. The symposium focuses on both fundamental and translational researches in biomaterials-based immunoengineering. Dr. Cheng and Zhiyuan gave talks in the symposium.
