Postdoctoral Position in Organic Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry
An NIH supported postdoctoral position will be available in the laboratory of Dr. Hao Cheng in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at Drexel University starting in late 2024 or January 2025. The postdoc associate will work on the development of a novel polymer as PEG alternative for protein delivery. The ideal candidate for this position should have strong background in the area of organic chemistry or polymer chemistry. Prior experience in protein or nanomedicine delivery is a plus. A Ph.D. degree in chemistry or materials science and engineering or a related field is desired. Dr. Cheng’s Lab works at the interface of materials science and medicine, spanning fundamental studies to translational research. The lab uses engineering techniques to investigate nanomaterial-cell interactions and develops new biomaterials for immunotherapy. Graduates of Cheng’s lab are consistently recruited by major pharmaceutical and healthcare companies such as J&J, Merck, Genentech, and Novartis.
