Multiscale Computational Mechanics and Biomechanics (MCMB) Lab members (Nolan Black, Dr. Ahmad Najafi, and Jonathan Gorman) delivered three talks at the 16th World Congress on Computational Mechanics and 4th Pan American Congress on Computational Mechanics (WCCM-PANACM) in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. We represented the Drexel University Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics (MEM) and the Drexel University College of Engineering.

The list of presenters and their topics are as below:
Dr. Ahmad Najafi: Multiscale structural optimization using machine learning surrogate models for second-order homogenization
Nolan Black: Multiscale structural optimization with strain gradient effects using second order homogenization
Jonathan Gorman: Design of a Structural Battery Composite with a Bi-Continuous 2-phase Matrix Using a Virtual Temperature Constrained Topology Optimization
