Chemical Scissor–Mediated Structural Editing of Layered Transition Metal Carbides

Our paper in the latest issue of Science describes a new process that lets scientists chemically cut apart and stitch together atomic layers in layered and two-dimensional materials. This work, done by research teams from NIMTE, Linköping University, and Drexel Nanomaterials Institute opens tremendous new opportunities for atomistic design of new materials.
