The Drexel Nanomaterials Institute is honored to receive one of three of Agilent’s Solutions Innovation Research Awards. DNI will have the 1-year loan of an Agilent 5900 ICP-OES system fully installed in our lab with all related accessories. Professor Yury Gogotsi and Postdoctoral researcher Dr. Yuan Zhang submitted the winning proposal to use the instrument for Li-ion research, although there are a wide variety of applications that will be explored during the grant term. Three awards are granted every year, and this year two of them went to labs in the Drexel Materials Science department: DNI and Michel Barsoum’s lab.
