With MXenes named as one of the top 10 emerging technologies in chemistry by IUPAC in their quarterly report Chemistry International, the prominence of MXenes continues to grow and gain momentum worldwide. Professor Gogotsi circled the globe this autumn to present well-received talks in Australia, Abu Dhabi, China, Prague, Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, and several cities in the United States. A clear indication of the rising prominence of MXenes in the realm of 2D materials, many of these presentations were at events with broad attendance by investors, Nobel Prize laureates across fields, and scientists beyond the nanomaterials world.
