Dr. Halpin is currently an Adjunct Professor at Drexel University, teaching the graduate introductory power sequence. Dr. Halpin initially began instructing at Drexel University in 1977.

During his time as an undergraduate and graduate student, Dr. Halpin worked in the power laboratory at Drexel University under Dr. Robert Fischl, receiving is M.S. in 1979 and PhD in 1982.
