Congratulations to Our Ph.D. Students, Kanit Hantanasirisakul and Asia Sarycheva, for Successfully Defending Their Ph.D. Theses

Kanit Hantanasirisakul and Asia Sarycheva successfully defended their Ph.D. theses and now have joined DNI alumni. Their Ph.D. research shed light on some important aspects of optoelectronic properties (Kanit’s  Ph.D. research) and Raman spectroscopy (Asia’s Ph.D. research) of MXenes. Congratulations to both of them!

Professor Yury Gogotsi Delivered The Prestigious Manuel Cardona Lecture at The Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology

On Monday, April 19th, 2021, Professor Yury Gogotsi delivered a highly prestigious Manuel Cardona Lecture at the Institut Català de Nanociència i Nanotecnologia (Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology) in Barcelona.

Cardona was a Barcelona-born physicist and one of Spain’s most prominent scientists, who was also one of the most cited physicists in the world (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manuel_Cardona). He also wrote (together with Peter Yu) one of the very best books on semiconductors.
