Nick Coleman studied electrical engineering at Drexel University, and graduated summa cum laude in 2013 with BSEE and MSEE degrees, and a graduate certificate in Engineering Management. He received a PhD in electrical engineering in 2018 (advisor: Dr. Karen Miu) with a graduate minor in Computational Engineering.
His current research interests include optimization and automation in electric power distribution systems, specifically online smart grid analysis, operation and control applications.
In 2011 and 2012, Nick was selected as an IEEE PES Scholar, and in 2012, he was chosen as the John W. Estey Outstanding PES Scholar for IEEE Region II.
